Mehendi & Haldi Juttis

Colour-led juttis for the daytime functions - mehendi, haldi and the morning half of a wedding, where marigold, mustard and full-colour floral work belongs. Every pair is hand-embroidered, so the colour sits in silk thread and beadwork rather than print.

Yellow and mustard pairs were made for haldi and sit naturally with marigold decor and gold jewellery. The multicolour florals - Pankhudi, Phoolnama, Rangriti, Fiora - carry petal clusters in pink, teal, orange and green, often on ivory or black grounds that make each thread read clearly. Because these are daytime functions with a lot of standing, the flat leather sole and cushioned footbed earn their keep.

Bright footwear is also the easiest way to lift a plain kurta or a simple sharara set on a festive day that is not a wedding at all. Priced Rs 1,550 to Rs 1,850.

Every pair is made in our own workshop and finished by hand: a soft leather lining, a hand-stitched flat leather sole and a cushioned footbed, with no left or right foot so the pair shapes to you over the first few wears.
